New Partnership Between IMPAQTO, USFQ, and COCOA to Empower ReGenera Entrepreneurs

Aug 19, 2025 | Allies, Labs, ReGenera by IMPAQTO

At IMPAQTO, we firmly believe in the power of partnerships to generate sustainable impact. Today, we are thrilled to announce a new collaboration with the Communication Design program at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and the College of Communication and Contemporary Arts (COCOA).

Thanks to this partnership, 7 entrepreneurs from the Pichincha edition of the ReGenera by IMPAQTO training program will work hand in hand with USFQ students and faculty on two initiatives that combine innovation, creativity, and strategic design:

  1. Strategic Design and Innovation (Semester Projects): During the academic semester (August – December 2025), student teams will join the ventures to provide creative solutions in key areas such as processes, branding, and customer experience. The support doesn’t end there: there is an opportunity for these entrepreneurs to continue working with a new team of students in the next semester (January – May 2026), creating a continuous improvement process.
  2. Design Research (Graduation Project – 1 Year): One graduating student will dedicate a full year to work on a research project applied to one of the ventures. This effort will focus on designing an innovative product, service, or experience that addresses the entrepreneur’s real needs. At the end, the results will be presented in an exhibition, highlighting both USFQ talent and the impact of women-led businesses.

Additionally, this collaboration will benefit IMPAQTO itself, as we will receive USFQ’s guidance on communication strategies for ReGenera, especially aimed at attracting investors and strengthening the program’s sustainability.

How Did This Partnership Start?

The seed of this collaboration was planted after the ReGenera breakfast in Pichincha, where our team met with Rodrigo Muñoz, professor and coordinator of the USFQ Design program. Since then, we have worked together to build a bridge between academia and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“Partnerships between IMPAQTO and academia allow us to enhance skills and open pathways for triple-impact entrepreneurs to connect with a broader ecosystem. We are very excited about this collaboration with USFQ Design, which will allow our entrepreneurial community to benefit from the talent and creativity that emerge from this joint work.”

— Daniela Peralvo, Co-CEO of IMPAQTO

The central goal is clear: to strengthen the branding and positioning of the entrepreneurs’ products so they can access new markets and connect with more opportunities.

A Virtuous Circle of Innovation and Learning

This partnership not only benefits the entrepreneurs but also the USFQ students, who will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real projects, collaborate with women leaders, and experience firsthand how design can transform lives and communities.

At IMPAQTO, we celebrate this virtuous circle of learning, innovation, and collaboration. Because when academia, the social sector, and entrepreneurship come together, impact multiplies.
