On November 28, the Quito Botanical Garden became a space of inspiration and transformation during the event Redes de Impacto, a gathering held as part of the Kinesis program, the online accelerator of USAID CATALYZE APEP Accelerator, implemented by Agora Partnerships and led by IMPAQTO in Ecuador.
This event, designed to connect, regenerate, and transform, brought together the participating Kinesis companies, entrepreneurs, strategic allies, and other ecosystem actors, marking a milestone in building a sustainable future.
The central theme of the day was Theory U, a methodology that revolutionizes leadership and innovation from the perspective of an emerging future. Guided by Laura Pastorini, an expert in ecosystemic leadership and regeneration, participants explored new ways to address current challenges with practical tools and a renewed vision.
Theory U: Leading from the future we want to create

Theory U, developed by the Presencing Institute at MIT, combines systems thinking, change leadership, and evolving collective awareness. Its approach includes three essential elements:
- A framework: To identify and transcend the “blind spots” of traditional leadership.
- A method: That invites reflection, deep listening, and strategic action.
- A new narrative: That inspires social change toward regenerative ecosystems.
Guided by these premises, participants immersed themselves in a process of introspection and co-creation, reflecting on fundamental questions:
- What do we need to transform within ourselves to redesign societies and address the challenges of our time?
- How can we learn from the future as it emerges?
A day to connect and transform

The morning focused on entrepreneurs, alumni, and members of the IMPAQTO community. Through activities inspired by Theory U, we worked with Laura Pastorini to cultivate mindfulness, active listening, and openness to identify opportunities and overcome barriers in our leadership.
In the afternoon, the focus expanded to include strategic allies, exploring how to regenerate business models and create sustainable impact. Conversations addressed the need to move from traditional operational systems focused on authority or efficiency (1.0 and 2.0) to models that prioritize users (3.0) and regenerative ecosystems (4.0).
Laura Pastorini and the Art of Regenerative Transformation

As a leader of the Presencing Institute in Latin America, Laura Pastorini shared her experience and key tools for leading from the emerging future. She guided participants on a deep exploration journey on how to move from reactive dynamics (downloading) toward co-creation, a state of maximum connection and creativity.
This approach transforms how we relate to ourselves, our organizations, and the world. It reminded us that to lead meaningful change, we must first work within, cultivating spaces for deep listening and conscious reflection.
From IMPAQTO, we continue promoting initiatives that connect talent, regenerate systems, and transform the business ecosystem in Ecuador.
