IMPAQTO Capital Invests in Muyu Education

IMPAQTO Capital announces an investment in Muyu Education, an Ecuadorian EdTech company transforming teacher development through AI-powered feedback and hybrid training. The investment is structured as a revenue-based loan.

In Latin America, most teachers receive limited support for their professional development. Traditional training is often theoretical, infrequent, and disconnected from real classroom needs, leaving teachers without the tools to foster active learning and soft skill development in students. The result is persistent educational inequality, especially in vulnerable communities.

Founded in Ecuador in 2023, Muyu Education is tackling this challenge by reimagining teacher training. Its hybrid model combines in-person pedagogical support with an AI-enabled platform—the Muyu App—that records and transcribes classroom sessions, then delivers personalized feedback and teaching techniques based on real-time analysis. The solution is grounded in evidence-based pedagogical practices and designed to be scalable, flexible, and adaptable to each institution’s context.

In less than two years of operation, Muyu has supported over 800 teachers and 100 instructional leaders, benefiting more than 16,000 students. Teachers coached by Muyu have shown a remarkable increase in the adoption of student-centered practices—from 14% to 34%—demonstrating measurable changes in classroom dynamics and learning outcomes.

“We see in Muyu a powerful example of how technology, when combined with human connection and pedagogical rigor, can drive meaningful change in education,” said Michelle Arévalo-Carpenter, General Partner at IMPAQTO Capital. “What impressed us most was not just the innovation, but the team’s deep intentionality—from day one, impact has been part of their DNA. We are proud to support a group of entrepreneurs who combine technical excellence with a clear commitment to equity and classroom transformation.”

“In the journey to transform the world, the destination matters, but so does who you choose to walk with. Partnering with IMPAQTO has been a strategic decision that is already bearing fruit, and we believe that’s because they truly believe in us and our mission,” said Daniel Crespo, CEO and co-founder of Muyu Education.

The investment will enable Muyu to expand within Ecuador and across the region, as well as strengthen product development and commercial capabilities to reach more teachers at scale.
