Every October 15, the world observes the International Day of Rural Women, a day to recognize the strength, wisdom, and resilience of millions of women who sustain life from the fields, communities, and ecosystems that drive sustainable development.
At IMPAQTO, we believe that sustainable development begins in the territories. That’s why our training and innovation programs at IMPAQTO Labs are designed with a gender-focused approach that seeks to empower women from rural areas and those in vulnerable situations, strengthening their capacities to lead change in their communities.
ReGenera by IMPAQTO: Women Regenerating Territories
Through IMPAQTO Labs, we promote ReGenera, a project that aims to empower 200 migrant women and women from host communities in three provinces of Ecuador. Through training, guidance, and co-creation processes, these women are developing regenerative agro-food enterprises that foster sustainability, climate resilience, and community well-being.
ReGenera demonstrates how social innovation can transform territories from the ground up, promoting economic autonomy, strengthening female leadership, and regenerating local ecosystems.
Our Commitment to Equity and Sustainability
At IMPAQTO Labs, we continue to drive programs that empower women, because we know that investing in women is investing in the future: in food security, climate adaptation, and the regeneration of our communities.
We honor rural women whose work, creativity, and vision uphold the hope for a more just and sustainable future.
IMPAQTO reaffirms its commitment to continue creating spaces for learning, collaboration, and innovation where women—from every corner of the country and the region—can thrive and lead change.
